Author’s Guidelines
1. General Requirements
1.1 Language and Format
Manuscripts submitted to IJMSEd must be written in English. This ensures that research can be accessed by the international academic community. The minimum length for research papers is nine pages. This length provides sufficient space for authors to present their findings and analyses comprehensively.
1.2 Abstract and Keywords
Each submission must include a detailed abstract of 200-250 words. This abstract serves as a summary of the paper, offering readers an overview of the research problem, objectives, and methodology, as well as the results and significance of the findings. Below the abstract, authors should include 3-5 relevant keywords to facilitate search and classification in databases.
1.3 Reference Management
Authors are encouraged to utilize reference management software such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote. This not only aids in organizing references but also ensures that all citations in the text and the bibliography follow a consistent format.
1.4 Citation Style
In-text citations and the bibliography must adhere to the APA 7th Edition (American Psychological Association) guidelines. Using a standard citation style is essential to avoid plagiarism and to appropriately credit the works referenced.
1.5 Manuscript Template
All submissions must be prepared using the official IJMSEd manuscript template. This template is designed to ensure uniformity and compliance with the journal’s standards, facilitating the review process by editors and reviewers.
2. Manuscript Structure
Submissions should follow a clear structure, as outlined below:
2.1 Title
The title of the paper should clearly and succinctly reflect the research objectives, methods used, and goals without employing acronyms or abbreviations. A precise title not only captures the readers' attention but also provides an initial insight into the focus of the research.
2.2 Abstract
The abstract should present a brief summary of the research problem, objectives, methodology, results, and significance of the findings. This section should be concise, clear, and informative, without including citations. The abstract should be written in 11pt Times New Roman, with single spacing, and must not exceed 250 words.
2.3 Section Breakdown Authors are encouraged to structure their articles in the following sections:
2.3.1 Introduction
The introduction should begin with an overview of the research field, explaining why the study is important. In this section, authors should represent the research problem, review previous studies, and explain how their research differs from earlier works, clearly demonstrating the research gap. The introduction should conclude with the statement of purpose or research questions for this study.
2.3.2 Research Method
This section should detail the research design, participants or subjects of the study, as well as methods of data collection and analysis. Clear and detailed information is crucial here to allow other researchers to replicate the study.
2.3.3 Results and Discussion
• Results: The results section should be clear and concise, summarizing scientific findings without excessive detail. Authors should highlight differences between their results and previous studies.
• Discussion: In the discussion section, authors should explore the significance of their findings. This section should not merely repeat results but provide a scientific interpretation of each finding presented. The discussion should address how the results relate to the original questions or objectives outlined in the introduction, the scientific reasoning behind the findings, and how these findings compare with those reported by other researchers.
2.3.4 Conclusions
The conclusions should directly address the research objectives. Authors should explain how their work advances knowledge in the field. Clear conclusions enable reviewers and readers to assess the quality of the research and its suitability for publication. Avoid simply restating the abstract or listing experimental results; instead, provide a clear scientific justification for the work and suggest potential applications and future research directions.
2.4 References
Submissions should include a minimum of 25 references, with at least 85% coming from reputable journal articles that include their DOI. Authors need to ensure that the references used are of high quality and relevant to the topic being studied. Before submission, manuscripts should be checked and edited by an English language editor to ensure grammatical accuracy and adherence to writing conventions.
3. Submission Process
3.1 Submission Platform Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal's online submission system. This process is designed for efficiency and convenience, allowing authors to track the status of their submissions.
3.2 Review Process All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process conducted by at least two international reviewers. This ensures that only high-quality work is accepted for publication.
3.3 Notification of Acceptance Authors will receive notifications regarding the status of their submissions, whether accepted, accepted with revisions, or rejected. These decisions are based on the quality, relevance, and contribution of the paper to the field.
4. Ethical Considerations
Authors must ensure that:
• The manuscript is original work and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
• All listed authors have made significant contributions to the research and approve of the final version of the manuscript.
• Any potential conflicts of interest are disclosed
clearly.
