Author Guidelines

General Requirements

The minimum standard requirements of Ekraf: Jurnal Ekonomi Kreatif dan Inovatif Indonesia are:
a. Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English.
b. The length of a research article should be at least 9 pages.
c. The article must include an abstract (200–250 words) followed by 3–5 keywords.
d. Authors are encouraged to use a reference management tool such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote for proper citation formatting.
e. In-text citations must follow APA 7th Edition, and the bibliography must be formatted according to APA 7th Edition standards.
f. Manuscripts should be prepared using the Ekraf journal template available on the journal website.


Structure of the Manuscript

Manuscripts should generally follow this structure:

a. Title
The title should clearly describe the research aims, methods, and objectives without using acronyms or abbreviations.

b. Abstract

  • The abstract should be 200–250 words.

  • No citations are allowed.

  • It should clearly summarize the problem, research objectives, methodology, and main results.

  • The abstract should end with a statement on the significance of the results or a brief conclusion.

c. Main Sections
Authors are suggested to organize the manuscript as follows: Introduction – Method – Results and Discussion – Conclusion – References.

  1. Introduction

    • Written in English or Indonesian, 11 pt font, single-spaced.

    • Introduce the research field and explain why it is important.

    • Present the research problem, review previous studies, and clarify the research gap.

    • End with a clear statement of the research objectives or problem formulation.

  2. Method

    • Describe the research design, participants/population and sampling, data collection, and data analysis.

  3. Results and Discussion

    • Results should summarize key findings without excessive detail. Highlight differences from previous studies.

    • Discussion should interpret results, explore significance, and relate findings to the research objectives. Avoid repeating results.

    • The discussion should address:

      • What are the findings?

      • Why do the findings occur (interpretation)?

      • How do results compare with previous studies (similarities/differences)?

  4. Conclusion

    • Clearly answer the research objectives.

    • Explain the contribution of the work to the field.

    • Avoid repeating the abstract or merely listing results.

    • Suggest potential applications, future research directions, or ongoing studies.

  5. References

    • Minimum of 25 references, with at least 85% from reputable journal articles including DOIs where available.

    • Manuscripts must be proofread by an English or Indonesian language editor as appropriate.
